Subpoenas Fly in Joffe v Neustar
Earlier this year we noted that Rodney Joffe filed suit against Neustar seeking over $2.5 million in reimbursement for his legal expenses.
Charlie Savage then did all of us a favor by getting the court to publicly release a heavily redacted court document - see that here.
There is nothing earth shattering yet, but I took a look at the docket tonight and noticed a plethora of subpoenas. This included subpoenas to Martin Jannol who has been a long time attorney tied to many different companies connected to Joffe and his business partners.
For what it’s worth, I spoke to Jannol on the phone last year and he seems like a good enough person - but it’s always interesting when attorneys are being asked to produce documents against their client’s interests.
Here are a few documents we snagged:
It remains to be seen whether Neustar has seen the documents we have obtained, there are a few items I suspect would be of interest to them.
We will continue monitoring the case and will provide updates periodically.
