Rebirth of Journalism?

There is something afoot in the last few days, culminating in a fiery White House press conference today where journalists are asking tough questions and coming up with critical reporting.

We haven’t seen anything like this in years. It may not last, but we can hope it does.

It started immediately after the debate where CNN and MSNBC’s takes were actually much harsher than my own on Biden’s performance. It comes after weeks where the White House downplayed videos of Biden looking confused.

Meanwhile, story after story indicates Biden’s decline has been going on for months and there is legitimate cause for concern.

We can hope that these same journalists will scrutinize the facts around Russiagate in such a manner as we develop new information in the coming weeks. If they simply refuse to take the story at face value, they will eventually catch up to where we are, with serious questions about Special Counsel Mueller and the narrative around the DNC hack.
