Not much time this morning, but there is a story quickly making the rounds from the NYT that indicates Durham is shutting down.
We have heard that before.
However, the article also outlines unbelievable interference from AG Garland:
Garland was demanding a report in May? Durham is not done.
There are indications that I don’t have the time to go through, that a significant amount of additional investigation is needed and warranted. When John Ratcliffe repeatedly says he has seen documents that would support numerous indictments, I believe him.
The timing of the article is suspicious, coming on the heels of yesterday’s bombshell.
The article ominously notes that:
Durham would need approval for another grand jury. AG Garland’s approval.
I have previously predicted that AG Garland would fire Durham after the midterms. That effectively seems to be what is happening, by squeezing his budget and denying him resources.
If there was ever a time for the GOP to step up, it would be now.
John Durham needs an increase in his budget, a new Grand Jury if he desires one, and he needs independence from an Attorney General who has gone far off the rails.
We may need a Hail Mary pass!
