Today I filed a new lawsuit seeking records under FOIA from the DOD, FBI, ODNI, and CIA. It’s my intention to do a couple more of these in the coming weeks.
I’ve found these to be very worthwhile, as it’s the only means through which I’ve obtained FOIA documents. I can handle them pro se, and for a little bit of work and a $400 filing fee, they just give me a production schedule and start producing documents. That’s not too bad.
This is my 3rd FOIA suit against the federal government and now I really have the confidence to continue doing these, so I will.
I’m going to paywall the section below where I go into what is on our lawsuit for 24 hours to give a little perk to the paid subscribers. It’s your support that allows me to continue doing this work, and you guys are the only support system that I have for this work so that’s pretty important!
First, from the DOD we are seeking information on the “Big Data Platform” we flagged the other day. Other FOIA’s to DISA and the NSA will be on the next lawsuit as I finish putting them in.
Also from the DOD, I requested any memorandums of understanding, contracts, emails, or agreements in DARPA's possession concerning the use of DARPA’s resources in the aid of criminal investigations by the FBI or prosecutions by the Department of Justice. That’s now in our lawsuit as well.
Third, I asked for all emails sent to or from Angelos Keromytis’ accounts to members of the FBI and/or Department of Justice.
Next I went to the FBI, requesting any reports, emails, memorandums, or letters in the FBI's possession relating to the hack of the DNC or Guccifer 2.0 that were provided by David Dagon or Manos Antonakakis.
Then I requested any 302’s and payment information relating to Igor Danchenko.
Sixth, I reached back to an older FOIA asking for any emails between:
Ryan Gaynor
Scott Hellman
Curtis Heide
Andrew McCabe
Peter Strzok
Joe Pientka
That relate to the DNC hack, Rodney Joffe, David Dagon, or Alfa Bank stuff.
Then I moved over to ODNI, requesting any files in ODNI's possession relating to attribution work done on the hack of the Democratic National Committee by the Russians in 2016 that originated with or was influenced by: Rodney Joffe, David Dagon, Manos Antonakakis, Angelos Keromytis, or Tejas Patel.
Next I asked for I request any reports, emails, assessments or notes used to support the October 7, 2016 attribution statement noted here:
Finally, I finished by suing the CIA for any emails in the accounts of Avril Haines or John Brennan sent to or from Rodney Joffe, Manos Antonakakis, Angelos Keromytis, David Dagon, or Tejas Patel.
Documents are set to start being produced from our previous lawsuit from DARPA in the next few weeks, and then from the FBI starting a few weeks after that.
I hope everyone has a good start to their week!
Bravo! I am assuming that you and some of the other internet sleuths will be sharing the fruits of your labor with members of Congress who will be investigating the IC and a number of the same topics you FOIA. I heard Russ Vought this morning confirming a new sub-select committee of the Judiciary with Jim Jordan, Chip Roy and others to specifically investigate IC.
