Yesterday I woke up at 2:30am and left for the airport by 3am. I flew to Washington DC and spent the day there before catching a late flight back, getting me back home at 2am.
I did something I never pictured myself doing when news reports came out about the Russians hacking the DNC. It’s been a long journey, and now I have reluctantly inserted myself into the story.
I didn’t file in the Mueller-GRU case, which would have created the burden of tracking down Russian intelligence officers for the service of papers. Instead, I filed a new application and was able to lay out much of what we have already covered repeatedly while requesting certain records bearing on the DNC hack.
I have put in a tremendous amount of time and energy in the last few frustrating years, and it’s time. It’s time everyone puts their cards on the table. For me personally, it’s time for me to start a lengthy process of closing the Russiagate chapter. Thanks to efforts we have launched, that will take another year or two to wrap up. By then, the next Presidential administration will have the final word on Russiagate.
A couple pieces of work are half-written, now that I have that filing out of the way I have more time to finish those up.
It’s going to be an interesting few months ahead.
