Manos is in trouble because he just simply blew off the contract certifications and made false representations to the government. And he’s taking a lot of good people with him because they couldn’t argue with “God”. It was arrogance. If he was concerned about virus protections competing for resources or quarantining virus signatures that were in his database, or some other issues that I can’t know then he needed to air those out with the federal contact officer and negotiate exceptions.
~ What's the significance of Manos not wanting to have "endpoint protection" software in the lab?
If THEY were running malware internally would that show up? Is there a separate record of lab communications that could reveal hijinks? Would it make it harder for them to build spoof records? ~
This is one of the services he Manos did not want on the 'box': Qualys Cloud Agent is a lightweight and flexible agent that collects and visualizes data from across your entire infrastructure. It enables you to deploy additional IT, security, and compliance
capabilities across hybrid IT environments without additional single-purpose agents.
Interesting. Seems as though Manos was not to be troubled with such petty, compliance-related issues. I wonder how frequently Garrison was relaying these underlying concerns and communications to Manos, because if Garrison was, Manos sure is playing dumb in his 12/6/21 email to Kyle.

Interesting idea, but I can't offer speculation on something like that.
