Several months ago, I wrote a bit about Mikey Dickerson and Project Birmingham and also touched on the scheme in my Theory of Russiagate post, writing:
I also believe that the lightly-reported on “Russian Twitter bots” of the 2016 election were similarly the result of fraud based on the events of the 2017 Alabama Senate race and “Project Birmingham” where operatives tied to Fusion GPS and Daniel Jones (who was also involved in Alfa Bank allegations) admitted to a false flag operation that involved creating Twitter bots to tie the Republican Senate candidate to them in the hopes of orchestrating a smear campaign. Some of the same “researchers” involved in the false flag operation had reported on the alleged Russian interference of 2016, including to the US Senate. That is either a remarkable 180 degree shift to them being the criminals, or, it raises the question of what actually happened in 2016 and given what we know about the Steele dossier and Alfa allegations, I err on the side of fraud.
It’s less and less clear where the reporting on the 2016 election and Internet Research Agency efforts came from (that CNN and others were citing) [New Knowledge?] - it’s no longer clear there were any bots during 2016.
The indictment of the IRA makes no mention of bot accounts. That seems to be something pushed out there by Clint Watts in early 2017, and it’s important to note that based on Taibbi’s reporting, in late 2017 Twitter still wasn’t finding any evidence to support these allegations of a massive Russian influence campaign. That all changed during the Alabama Senate race in late 2017 as we note below.
Peter Strzok also mentions in his book a contact with a “social media expert” in the fall of 2016 with similar allegations, and it seems to be a fair assumption that individual may be connected to this scheme.
After doing a video with MB on this last night:
A few others picked up where we had left off (and I got a little more time as well).
Bad Kitty found what I had known (I’ve been following this angle for a long time) and summarized it here:
And as I mentioned in the chat with MB, based on Matt Taibbi’s reporting and Margot Cleveland’s summary:
I knew immediately this related to Project Birmingham and the false flag operation we have detailed on Twitter for a long time (on many of our accounts). It no longer appears they were just concerned about the Alabama Senate race, this was about providing evidence (that they fabricated) to the US Senate to support their narrative.
As we have noted, this involves Daniel Jones’ TDIP (with fundraising by John Podesta) and all of the dirty operators we have come to know.
The New York Times has a copy of at least one internal Project Birmingham report and presumably has more information that they haven’t released. Hopefully they will do so in light of these connections.
Daniel Jones has been central to IC: after Johns Hopkins undergrad- Teach for America in Baltimore (where he was noted as a Most Wanted 100 bachelors alongside George Clooney & Derek Jeter in People mag) FBI employee, Senate Select Intelligence under Jay Rockefeller then Diane Feinstein, wrote the Torture Report which puts Rodriquez, Haspel, Hayden & Bush in bad light. He was portrayed by Adam Driver in the movie The Report. He started the Penn Quarter Group, Advance Democracy, Inc. & The Democracy Integrity Project (funded by Silicon Valley oligarchs) to continue to pay FusionGPS to dig dirt on Trump (& buy their silence?) & to investigate those that would "undermine democracy". Was this a power struggle between the IC and the Senate Intel committee? If so, they appear to be aligned now. BTW: Here's an interesting article from Chuck Ross in 2020 which provides a good overview of the $ paid out by ADI & TDIP in 2018 to Popily/Yonder/New Knowledge. And gives some other names/orgs to dig up. https://dailycaller.com/2020/04/22/new-knowledge-senate-intelligence-fusion-gps-daniel-jones-steele-dossier/
